This role can be onsite in Marshfield, WI, remote or hybrid.

Responsibilities:

Our growing team of Software Engineers are responsible for building one-of-a-kind innovative software solutions for the processing, storage, analysis, and interpretation of terabytes of human DNA sequence data. To keep up with the ever-evolving needs in the genetics space PreventionGenetics believes strongly in keeping our technology stack and development lifecycles modern. To support growth of the development practice all Software Engineers will participate in our company sponsored continuing education plans. Software Engineers work closely with our large teams of doctorate geneticists and informaticians to solve novel problems to benefit patients and their families looking for answers.

Position Requirements:

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or related field is required.

The ideal candidate will have experience in application and data development and enjoy working in a collaborative team atmosphere. Knowledge of object-oriented programming (C#), design patterns, Single Page Applications (React), containerization (Docker), DevOps (CI/CD), data science (Python, Jupyter, Spark), and cloud technologies (AWS) are a plus.
