Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, the IT Manager of Infrastructure and Cybersecurity is responsible for the overall management and administration of the Foundations mostly cloud-based technology infrastructure, cybersecurity, and service desk functions. This role includes oversight of technical support and service operations and functions in the organization, supervision of help-desk staff, and collaboration with third-party managed service providers.
Essential Duties
  • Oversee the day-to-day workflow of the organizations technology infrastructure
  • Train and supervise a small, internal IT operations team
  • Recommend, architect, implement, and maintain technology infrastructure solutions that can expand the Foundations ability to seamlessly work across multiple functions and teams
  • Develop documentation and deliver training on effective use of IT systems and cybersecurity awareness
  • Conduct periodic and regular risk assessments on technology infrastructure threats and recommend steps to mitigate impact to the Foundation
  • Analyze software and hardware needs for the organization and facilitate installation and maintenance
  • Identify and recommend upgrades and changes to hardware and software, maintaining efficient and effective operations in the organization
  • Facilitate and oversee the technical support and service desk roles, ensuring effective and helpful support is provided to end users
  • Maintain knowledge of trends and developments in IT; alert senior staff of the effects widespread software and hardware revisions, changes, and discontinuation will have on the organizations systems and operations
  • Manage the Foundations vulnerabilities and patch management program
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Minimum of seven (7) years experience in a technology centric business environment supporting a range of functions/departments
  • Undergraduate degree in computer or information science-related field required; Masters degree a plus
  • Industry-standard certifications strongly preferred
  • Prior experience managing IT operations staff
  • Working knowledge of cybersecurity design, implementation, and user training
  • Proficient with, or able to quickly become proficient with, a range of general and specialized applications, software, and hardware used in the Foundation and the industry
  • Ability to establish cross-functional, collaborative relationships with business and technology partners

Technical Skills:
  • Advanced proficiency in supporting Mac and PCs automating the build process and inventory management to the extent possible.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 is required
  • Knowledge of infrastructure concepts and experience with managing technology projects; familiarity with ITSM methodologies (e.g. ITIL) a plus.
  • Proficiency in managing and supporting:
    • Networking: Switch, Router and Firewall
    • Platform as a Service (PaaS) (e.g., MS Azure)
    • Azure AD and Single sign on
    • Software as a Service (SaaS) (e.g., Salesforce, Office 365, etc.)
  • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of network and system security (including vulnerabilities and patch management)
  • Experience with using Windows PowerShell for scripting to automate tasks
  • Experience working in an IT outsourcing environment and/or managing IT service provider(s)

Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times
